Oxford Net Zero at COP27

Nov 6, 2022

Lovely to meet you at COP27! We are here representing Oxford Net Zero, an interdisciplinary research group at the University of Oxford. Our group is made up of anthropologists, geophysicists, biologists, lawyers, political scientists and more. We support policymakers and businesses in transitioning to net zero in line with best available science and with principles of equity and justice in mind.

What are we doing at COP27?

We are here to promote integrity in net zero commitments. We do this principally through our collaborations with the High-Level Expert Group (HLEG) on Net Zero Emissions Commitments, the Net Zero Guiding Principles (which we helped to write) and our partnership with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development to develop a net zero integrity test for their 200 members.
