Millicent is a Research Associate at Oxford Net Zero, working on the Net Zero Aviation project. In this role, her work focuses on geologically balanced fuels and e-fuels, and building out policy and cost projections for these fuels as we approach the time of net zero.
In her previous role as a Researcher at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, she worked on the AGILE Sprint 5 project titled “What do we need to know to safely store CO2 beneath our shelf seas?”. Her role worked across Oxford Net Zero, the Department of Earth Sciences and the Environmental Change Institute, examining the interplay between science and legislation for successfully storing CO2 in offshore geological storage, how CCS can be used for decarbonisation, and achieving geological net zero through a carbon storage mandate (CTBO, or Carbon Takeback Obligation).
Millicent holds an MA in Environmental Geography and International Relations from the University of St Andrews, and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.
