The Climate Pledge

Aug 29, 2020

The Climate Pledge calls on signatories to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and reach net zero carbon emissions by 2040, 10 years early. Launched in 2019 by Amazon and Global Optimism, this initiative asks companies to:

  1. Regularly measure and report their own greenhouse gas emissions,
  2. Decarbonize their business by improving efficiency, switching to renewable energy, and reducing material use and waste,
  3. Balance out remaining emissions via meaningful, credible carbon offsets.
