ISO Net Zero Draft International Standard now available for public consultation

Jun 19, 2026

The ISO Draft International Standard (DIS) 14060 Net zero aligned organisations is now available and ready for public consultation.

You can download the draft standard from the BSI website here (opens new page).

This standard builds on the ISO Net zero guidelines (IWA 42:2022) and minimum criteria that Oxford Net Zero helped to research and convene. It has since gone through a two-year international consultation with hundreds of delegates from across sectors and over 100 countries represented.

You can learn more about how ISO/DIS 14060 was developed, and more detail about how you can share your feedback, in this document. Public comments are crucial for informing how countries vote on the standard.

NB:

  • Any comments must be sent to your National Standards Body (NSB), not to the central ISO team. You can see how to contact your NSB on p.8 of the Public Consultation Guidance document.
  • Public consultation opened on 17 June 2026, but NSBs set their own deadlines for when comments must be received – ensure you reach out early to establish when the deadline is in your country. In the UK, this deadline is 17 August 2026.
  • Comments received by NSBs from the public inform how NSBs vote on the standard.
