In 2016, the University of Tasmania became the second university in Australia to be awarded a carbon neutral certification Their process of achieving this goal included measuring and reducing emissions wherever possible, offsetting leftover emissions with a specific focus on the Tasmanian community, and publicly sharing their emissions balance.
