Stephanie Loo is the UK Director of Carbon Balance Initiative, a research and policy think tank that works with academia to develop evidence-based policy pathways for achieving net zero. In partnership with Oxford Net Zero and academics across the UK and internationally, Carbon Balance translates climate science into practical policy recommendations for hard-to-abate sectors.
Previously, Stephanie was a Senior Consultant at Eunomia Research & Consulting, where she specialised in the development and implementation of extended producer responsibility and industrial decarbonisation policy in the EU and UK. With a background in chemical recycling, Stephanie has special expertise in low carbon and circular economy policy within the plastics and petrochemical sectors. She has previously held research roles at the Chatham House Sustainability Accelerator, Outlier Research & Evaluation at the University of Chicago, and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
Stephanie has an MSc in Environmental Technology with a focus on Sustainable Business from Imperial College London.
