Emily Faint is the Net Zero Policy Lead for the UK’s National Standards Body, the British Standards Institution (BSI), focusing on the role of standards in accelerating the global net zero transition. Emily leads market and policy engagement for the development of the ISO net zero transition planning standard (ISO 14060), the world’s first international standard on net zero for organizations, to build international market consensus on a practical and equitable approach to net zero transition planning across global markets. Before joining BSI, Emily was Senior Policy Advisor on Net Zero Governance for the UK’s Net Zero Strategy launched at COP26 at the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), designing cross-government decision making and monitoring structures to underpin the UK transition to net zero under the UK Climate Change Act.
