Camilla Hyslop is pursuing a DPhil on how carbon offsets fit into the net zero project. She was previously Data Co-Lead for the Net Zero Tracker, where she coordinated a heroic team of volunteers to keep the Tracker’s database shipshape and up-to-date. To her work, Camilla brings a wide-ranging background in law, an evolving knowledge of ecology, and a particular interest in how carbon offset projects — and net zero more generally — affect the people and ecosystems of the Global South. She holds a BA and an LLB from the University of Cape Town, an LLM from U.C. Berkeley and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford.
