This map describes estimates of public opinion on climate change and policy support by NUTS 3 regions in the United Kingdom. The estimates were generated from statistical models that incorporate survey data from the European Values Survey (2017), combined with demographics from the UK Census to estimate opinions for different groups of people.

Data source
The data was produced by Maria D. Perez and Miguel Pereira in collaboration with Net Zero Climate. The complete set of estimates is available for download here. The original survey data comes from the European Values Survey (2017). The subnational estimates result from multilevel models with poststratification. This method combines public opinion data from nationally representative surveys with demographic data from the UK Census to estimate opinions for different groups of people based on information such as gender, age, educational attainment, and employment status. For additional details see the methodological note here.
